🧂 Ingredients
Basmati rice – 1 cup (washed and soaked 20 mins)
Mixed vegetables (carrot, beans, peas) – 1 cup (chopped)
Onion – 1 large (sliced)
Green chilli – 1 (slit)
Ginger – 1 tsp (grated)
Welza Garam Masala – 1 tsp
Bay leaf – 1
Cloves – 2
Cinnamon – 1 small stick
Salt – to taste
Oil or ghee – 2 tbsp
Water – 2 cups
👩🍳 Instructions
Heat oil or ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan.
Add bay leaf, cinnamon, and cloves. Sauté for a few seconds.
Add sliced onion, green chilli, and ginger. Cook until onion is soft.
Add mixed veggies and sauté for 2–3 minutes.
Add soaked rice, Welza Garam Masala, and salt. Mix gently.
Pour in 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil.
Cover and cook on low flame for 12–15 minutes or until rice is done.
Fluff gently and serve with raita or papad.
