Creamy curd meets crunchy, spiced boondi for the ultimate cooling side dish.
🧂 Ingredients (Serves 2–3)
1 cup curd (plain yogurt) – fresh and thick
½ cup boondi (plain or masala)
¼ cup water (adjust for desired consistency)
½ tsp roasted cumin powder
¼ tsp red chili powder
¼ tsp black salt (kala namak)
Salt to taste
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves (for garnish)
Optional: pinch of chaat masala for added tang
🥄 Instructions
1. Soak the Boondi (Optional):
Soak boondi in warm water for 5 minutes to soften it slightly (especially if using plain boondi).
Drain and gently press to remove excess water.
Skip this step if you prefer your boondi crunchy or are using masala boondi.
2. Prepare the Yogurt:
Whisk curd in a bowl until smooth.
Add water to adjust to a pourable but creamy consistency.
3. Add Spices & Boondi:
Mix in the roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, black salt, and regular salt.
Add the soaked (or crunchy) boondi and mix gently.
4. Garnish:
Sprinkle a little more roasted cumin powder and red chili powder on top.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
