🧂 Ingredients
For the Masala:
2 tsp oil or butter (use butter for street-style taste)
1 tbsp butter (for toasting)
1 small onion (finely chopped)
1 small tomato (finely chopped)
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1–2 green chilies (finely chopped, optional)
1–1½ tbsp Welza Pav Bhaji Masala
Salt to taste
A splash of water (1–2 tbsp)
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
For the Pav:
4 pav buns
1 tbsp butter (for toasting)
A pinch of Welza Pav Bhaji Masala (optional, for extra flavor)
👨🍳 Method
1️⃣ Prepare the Masala Base
Heat oil and butter in a flat pan or tawa.
Add onions and sauté until golden.
Add green chilies and ginger-garlic paste; cook until raw smell goes.
Add tomatoes and cook until soft and pulpy.
Add Welza Pav Bhaji Masala and salt. Sauté the masala well for 1–2 minutes.
Add a splash of water and cook until the mixture becomes thick and fragrant.
Finish with fresh coriander.
2️⃣ Toast the Pav
Slice pav buns horizontally (don’t cut them all the way through).
Spread butter on the inner sides and toast them on the same pan.
Optionally sprinkle a pinch of Welza Pav Bhaji Masala while toasting for extra kick.
3️⃣ Assemble & Serve
Spread or spoon the masala onto the inner side of the toasted pav.
Press gently, flip, and toast slightly again on both sides.
Serve hot with onion slices and lemon wedges.
💡 Welza Tip
For an extra-rich flavor, toast the pav in butter first, then stuff and heat again with the masala filling on the tawa.
