A refreshing yogurt-based side dish made with fresh mint, perfect for balancing rich, spicy meals.
🧂 Ingredients (Serves 2–3)
1 cup curd (plain yogurt), whisked smooth
2–3 tbsp fresh mint leaves, finely chopped or crushed
1–2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves (optional)
1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
1/4 tsp black salt
Salt to taste
1 green chilli, finely chopped (optional, for a spicy kick)
1/4 tsp sugar (optional, balances flavor)
🔥 Optional Tempering (for extra flavor):
1 tsp oil or ghee
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
4–5 curry leaves
👩🍳 Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Yogurt
Whisk the curd until smooth and creamy. Adjust consistency with a little water if needed.
Step 2: Add Flavorings
Add chopped mint, coriander, roasted cumin powder, black salt, regular salt, and green chilli.
Mix well. Add a pinch of sugar if desired.
Step 3: Optional Tempering
Heat oil/ghee, splutter mustard seeds, and add curry leaves.
Pour over the raita and stir gently.
