A soothing, lightly spiced milk infused with the floral and peppery notes of mace—perfect for winding down or nourishing the soul.

2 cups full-fat milk

1 small mace blade (javitri)

2–3 green cardamoms, lightly crushed

1 small stick of cinnamon

1–2 black peppercorns (optional, for warmth)

1 tsp honey or raw sugar (adjust to taste)

A few strands of saffron (optional, for richness)

Slivered almonds or pistachios, for garnish (optional)

👩🍳 Instructions:
Step 1: Infuse the Milk
In a small saucepan, add milk, mace, cardamoms, cinnamon, and peppercorns (if using).

Bring to a gentle simmer over low heat.

Let it simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

The mace should soften and infuse the milk with a golden hue.

Step 2: Sweeten and Strain
Turn off the heat.

Add honey or sugar, and saffron, if using.

Strain the milk into a cup or mug to remove whole spices.

Step 3: Garnish and Serve
Top with slivered almonds or pistachios if desired.

Serve hot, ideally before bedtime or as a calming mid-day sip.
