An Ayurvedic-inspired spiced tea made with kabab chini (cubeb pepper), ideal for boosting immunity and comforting the senses.
🧂 Ingredients (Serves 2):
2 cups water
1 tsp black tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
1/2 tsp kabab chini (cubeb pepper), lightly crushed
2–3 green cardamom pods
1 small piece cinnamon stick
2–3 cloves
1-inch piece ginger, sliced or crushed
1–2 tsp sugar or jaggery (optional, to taste)
1/4 cup milk (adjust to preference; can be omitted for black tea)
👩🍳 Instructions:
Step 1: Boil the Spices
In a saucepan, add water, kabab chini, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 5–7 minutes to let the spices infuse.
Step 2: Brew the Tea
Add tea leaves (or tea bag) and simmer for 2–3 more minutes, depending on how strong you like your chai.
Step 3: Add Sweetener & Milk (Optional)
Add sugar or jaggery to taste. Stir until dissolved.
Add milk and simmer for another minute (or skip for a spiced black tea).
Step 4: Strain & Serve
Strain into cups and enjoy hot.
