A calming, immunity-boosting drink rooted in Ayurveda — perfect for winding down and restoring balance.
🧂 Ingredients (Serves 1):
1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based like almond or oat)
1/2 tsp ashwagandha powder (pure and organic)
1/2 tsp ghee or unsalted butter (optional, for richness)
1/4 tsp cardamom powder or a pinch of cinnamon (optional)
1–2 tsp honey (to taste; add only after heating)
👩🍳 Instructions:
Step 1: Heat the Milk
In a small saucepan, warm the milk on low heat.
Stir in the ashwagandha powder, and whisk gently to combine.
Add ghee and cardamom/cinnamon if using. Let the milk come to a gentle simmer (do not boil vigorously).
Simmer for about 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 2: Sweeten and Serve
Remove from heat. Let it cool slightly for a minute.
Stir in the honey (never add honey to boiling milk to preserve nutrients).
Pour into a cup and sip warm.
🌿 Benefits:
Ashwagandha supports stress relief, hormone balance, and sleep.
Honey soothes the throat and adds natural sweetness.
Milk & ghee help with absorption of herbs and provide nourishment.
💡 Welza Tip:
For a golden version, add a pinch of turmeric to make it a "Golden Ashwagandha Milk." You can also blend in nutmeg for better sleep support.
