A natural digestive drink made by steeping carom seeds in water. Light, warming, and perfect for easing bloating, indigestion, or post-meal heaviness.
🌿 Ingredients:
1 tsp ajwain (carom seeds)
1½ cups water
(Optional) ½ tsp jaggery or honey – for taste
(Optional) 2–3 drops of lemon juice – for added freshness
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Dry Roast the Ajwain
Heat a pan and dry roast the ajwain on low heat for 30 seconds, just until aromatic.
This step enhances the potency and flavor.
2. Boil
Add 1½ cups water to a saucepan.
Add the roasted ajwain and bring it to a boil.
3. Simmer & Steep
Simmer the mixture for 5–7 minutes until the water reduces slightly and becomes infused with a warm golden hue.
Turn off the heat. Let it steep for 2 minutes.
4. Strain & Serve
Strain the water into a cup.
Add jaggery or honey if using (let the drink cool slightly before adding honey).
Add a dash of lemon juice if desired.
🕐 When to Drink:
Best consumed warm.
Ideal after meals for digestion.
Can be sipped in the morning on an empty stomach for metabolism and gut health.
