Using Welza Tandoori Chicken Masala

🧂 Ingredients
Chicken (bone-in leg or drumsticks) – 500 g
Yogurt (thick curd) – ½ cup
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Ginger-garlic paste – 1½ tbsp
Mustard oil – 1½ tbsp (or any oil)
Welza Tandoori Chicken Masala – 2 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Kashmiri red chilli powder – ½ tsp (optional, for extra color)
Butter – for basting (optional)
Fresh coriander & lemon wedges – for garnish
🥣 Instructions
1. Make the Marinade
In a large bowl, mix:
Yogurt
Lemon juice
Ginger-garlic paste
Mustard oil
Welza Tandoori Chicken Masala
Salt
(Optional: Kashmiri chilli powder for color)
Whisk until smooth.
2. Marinate the Chicken
Make 2–3 deep cuts on each chicken piece for better flavor absorption.
Coat the chicken well with the marinade.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours (overnight preferred).
3. Cooking Options
Choose one of the following:
Option A: Oven / OTG
Preheat oven to 200°C (392°F).
Place chicken on a rack or foil-lined tray.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, turning once midway.
Baste with butter while cooking for juicier texture.
Option B: Tawa / Pan
Heat 1–2 tbsp oil on a tawa or grill pan.
Cook chicken on medium heat for 15–20 minutes, turning occasionally until charred and cooked through.
Option C: Air Fryer
Preheat air fryer to 180°C.
Cook for 18–20 minutes, turning once halfway.
🌿 Garnish & Serve
Sprinkle chaat masala (optional).
Serve with onion rings, lemon wedges, and mint chutney.
💡 Tips
For a smoky flavor, place a hot coal in a bowl inside the marinated chicken, add ghee, and cover for 5 mins.
